i'm pat lawson muse. >> and i'm jim handly. some of the top stories we're following for you right now. authorities are investigating the murder of a woman inside her southeast d.c. apartment. her body was found late yesterday on fourth street. it's believed she had been dead for days but they're awaiting autopsy results to determine how and just when she died. one of her mentally disabled sons is in court now facing a charge of second-degree murder. >>> alante sutton who was murdered earlier this month was laid to rest today. before the burial, a funeral was held at allen chapel ame church. stevie wonder performed a song. >>> beginning tonight, the inner loop of the beltway will be narrowed just one lane for construction work. crews are making repairs to the roadway because the patchwork of pothole work isn't holding up. delays and 15-mile back-ups are predicted. officials are hoping the work will be done in time for monday morning's commute. >>> and it's an annual event and it gets bigger and bigger every way. one way to dodge

. >> i'm pat lawson muse. from now on airlines will have to check the no-fly list more often. they will have to look at those lists within two hours of being notified that they have been updated. >> this surrounds the fallout after the man accused of taking a bomb to times square over the weekend was able to board a plane for dubai hours after being added to the list. working our big story live this afternoon from capitol hill, news4's steve handelsman. >> reporter: it sounds like a no-brainer. i mean, who thought that the u.s. government could rush a specific name to the no-fly list and the airlines weren't even required to look at the list more than once every 24 hours. that's been changed now. the hope is that that might help a little bit. meanwhile, investigators here in washington and the new york say that so far they have been unable in their quest of faisal shahzad to identify any particular terrorist training camp or group that he attended. if they could find the name might help them answer a key question. was he september to attack times square or was it his idea? fai

. >> here is pat lawson news. >> good morning, welcome to "reporter's notebook."iscussion with a fuss over fees. if you live in the district of columbia, you could be hit with a host of new fees and higher fines as the council grapples with a way to erase half a million in red ink. the mayor wants to impose hundreds of new fees and taxes. taxes on health clubs, bridges, higher fines for not using a turn signal, for speeding or driving too slowly. some council members are balking at some of the suggesting proposed fees. tough choices to make in an election year. jerry. jump right on that. >> yeah, i have to. the talk on the streets is the fact that people are really getting upset over these fees and these new taxes. the one thing are the meters, the parking meters, for instance. for 25 cents, eight minutes, four minutes. people are complaining about this. and people in the district are saying, wait a minute, it cost too much to live in the district of columbia. jack evans had it right and he said you can't nickel and dime everybody. all of jack edmondson, reporter
