the lawton-bronson after-prom committee came up with the idea to have a zombie attack 5k. susan logsdon said planning for the event started in april of this year. she says it's to give teens a place to party after prom free from peer pressure. "midnight to five kids can go down to bronson and have a party that's a safe environment where they can go and hang out and have some fun with their friends," she added. there were were more than 20 teens transformed into zombies spread out across the town. raven loftus, a zombie in the run, said everyone one person's house as a handful of arents helped with makeup and costumes. adding it took a little over an hour to get everyone ready. runners had flags attached at the waist that represented lives. if a runner finished with all flags, they were considered a survivor. if a runner didn't finish the 3.1 mile with all flags, they were considered infected. loftus said playing the role of a zombie and catching people, is not as easy as it looks.
