sandra layne faces 12 to 20 years in prison for the killing of jonathan hoffman. she shot him six times over the course of six minutes. she fired ten times. it all happened in the home that they shared near detroit. she testified that her grandson was high on drugs and was attacking her when she went for her gun. but then the jurors heard jonathan's phone call to 911. >> 911, what's your emergency? >> i've just been shot. >> what? >> i've just been shot. >> where are you at? okay, how did you get shot? >> my grandma shot me. >> my grandma and grandpa shot you? >> my grandma. i'm going to die. >> 2 1/2 minutes later, while he was still on the phone, hoffman was shot again. sandra layne will be sentenced on april 18th and she is not free on bond between now and then. >>> you know, this has been the theme of the jodi arias case -- lies. just so many lies. yesterday, the psychologist who was hired by the defense testified that the admitted killer even lied to him when she was being tested for ptsd. have a listen. >> why are you writing down untruths? >> because this w

this man, 44-year-old layne hardin says his ex-girlfriend tobie desls value, stole his dna in order toold child. a donation clinic inside this texas hospital is the scene of the alleged crime where harden says devall made a withdrawal without his permission. >> there was a contract in place clear as day saying who the sperm belongs to, and the sperm bank let a stranger walk in off the street and take it and get pregnant. >> reporter: hardin is suing devall and the clinic for negligence, fraud and breach of contract and claiming emotional and monetary damages. in a countersuit, devall says she not only had his permission, but hardin was right by his side at the fertility clinic. she's asking the court to make hardin pay any damages if she loses the case. hardin says it wasn't for devall but catherine leblanc with whom he has a 12-year-old son. >> if that's in writing, that's a firm agreement, and anything to the contrary violates that agreement. >> reporter: her attorney released this statement saying, "this case involves the life of one innocent child. soon 12 men and women will see al

sandra layne shot the gun ten times over a course of six minutes. she hit her grandson six times.se, she says that hoffman spent much of those six minutes on the phone with 911, but listen to the call. >> 911, what's your emergency? >> i've just been shot. >> what? >> i've just been shot. >> where are you at? okay, how did you get shot? who shot you? >> my grandma shot me. >> your grandpa or grandfather shot you? >> my grandma. i'm going to die. >> well, if that person were attacking you and you shot him in fear of your life, you might stop shooting at that point when you hear those words, but hoffman's grandmother did not stop. she was not done with him yet. 2 1/2 minutes later came this cal call. >> i just got shot again. help me! >> you got shot again? are they still there? >> someone get help now! now! i need help now! >> are they still there? >> please help. >> hoffman did get help. paramedics did get there. they sped there and they got him to a hospital and that's exactly where he died, in the hospital. it's time now to call in the best of the bench on this case. lisa bloom
