over towards laytonsville and seeing these storms making their way to the north and east. the strongest portion of this storm is well into howard county but still in through this area. this is right around the boot jack area and will continue to bring down very heavy downpours. just south of d.c., not too strong here. we have a couple of downpours right along i-95. this one is right around springfield and the mousetrap down towards woodbridge also seeing this storm. as i mentioned, this is just round one of what we're seeing this evening. see this line, boom, just really develop along the mountains and in towards west virginia and maryland. now a new severe thunderstorm warning with this just popped up. you saw that just pop up. amelia, you can click that button for me and make sure that warning gets off of there. allegheny county and back towards morgan county in west virginia. this line continues to trek down towards the south so i expect to see more thunderstorm warnings the rest of the evening. take a look at future weather. here we are around 6:00. watch what happens

we'll go to poolesville, cross the river, pretty heavy activity there and a big storm from laytonsvillersburg past damascus with heavy rain and frequent lightning and once again if you hear thunder, you can be struck by lightning. get the kids inside. possibility of hail, waterford, the dulles toll road 287 and route 7. it looks to me like could be some hail, if not very heavy rains right along the hamilton station road area just south of furnace mountain. this is pretty big. there's not a warning on that storm, but it's a heavy storm. we'll move further north, could be some hail, too just southeast and go back up 287 in the next half hour. we'll widen back out. pretty big storms from mount airy across 270 to germantown, rainfall rate in red about an inch per hour and again heavy activity even further west back 15 west of leesburg. so everything is slowly pushing off to the east, northeast, but it will take a while to get these storms out of here. so our yellow alert will continue. the next three days, we're in kind of good shape tomorrow except for the fact we'll lose almost 20 degrees

we've had northeast and easterly winds so that will keep us on the cool side. 40 degrees in laytonsvilleon the bay in annapolis. 37 in manassas and 38 in nokesville. definitely a jacket sort of morning. as we scan the horizon, you are noticing some clouds which have now moved in across some of the area. generally not a bad day. partly sunny. 49 with a northeast wind at 5 miles an hour. and that humidity at 83%. high pressure is in control. occasionally we get some clouds. tough to see. this is the infrared. we get a temperature sensor and equate visible images or colors to it. tough to see some of these clouds which have been coming in just across the bay this morning. as lieu out to the west, we've got rain. that is snow and a mix across western iowa, parts of nebraska and kansas once again this morning. record snow, three inches in rochester last check. that was a may record for them and moisture well off to the south. what we're going to see is these indicational clouds especially south and east early. should turn out to be a mostly sunny day with the easterly push. all the rain and t
