leann melendez nbc 7 news. >>> caltrans is letting everyone know it has 4,000 employees working 24/7 to repair our roadways. crews have been mobilied 234 every region of the state. the price tag so far is $100 million. this is the scotts valley area, the south lanes are configured for two way traffic. caltrans contractors are working on an 8 foot berm to prevent falling debris from crashing. this is where a mudslide damaged a news van and another truck in two separate incidents. commuters are getting fed up. >> you have to stay on 17 which means everyone's on there, you go down 101. you can't go down 156, that's closed. have you to go down 129 which they're building down there. and limp back up. >> the drive over 17 can be as long as 2 hours because of mudslides. >>> work continues on highway 37 in marin county. the three mile stretch of the road that's been closed since thursday due to the flooding. construction crews are working 24 hours a day. so far no official word on when the road will reopen. >>> we do have more rain in our future. >> we do, indeed. a lot of it too over the ne
