♪ and fiber so my wife won't give me any more flack ♪ ♪ i finally found the right snack ♪ ♪ >>> lee mursls on the planet. the makers of a new 3d documentary hope to do more than just speak about them. we traveled to madagascar for an up close look. >> reporter: this is the lemur. they come in more than a hundred flavors. there's also the ring tail lemur and the black and white lemur. they only live in madagascar off the coast of africa. this country and these animals are now the subject of a new imax movie called island of lemurs. according to a doctor, the lemur is our oldest ancestor. >> basically, the female calls the shot. >> reporter: not long ago, i hiked into the mountains to see one of the rarest lemurs. we're very close. >> yeah. they are not afraid of people. >> reporter: they should be. illegal loggers have been pillaging the forest driving them toi extinction. >> right now, nobody knows what a lemur is, once that movie is out there, you see how they move. i think everybody's going to want to save lemurs. >> reporter: raising awareness so that the dance of the lemur can carry
