it's at its -- gas is at its lowest leel since 2000 five. that's the bloomberg business flash.e busy summer travel season kicks off this weekend, the tsa is doing its best to offer travelers relief after weeks of slow-moving lines. homeland security secretary a.j. johnson asked airlines to lift fees for checked luggage. there is a list of issues facing the airline industries. more, we are joined by george ferguson, senior airline industry analyst. , another one. two hours in line at the airport. kind of crazy, doesn't it? the airlines, a lot of them are the number size of of people who will fit in airplanes. that increases the crunch as they try to bring in people and put them all on airplanes closer together. a challenge asof airlines grow by adding the number of seats on planes. tsa is trying to get a handle on how to get people through security lines quicker. we have talked about various measures that could be put in place to speed up the lines. do we think any of those will be put in place in the coming days? >> i hope so. airlines obviously don't want travelers to have a b

through our study of the subject, we concluded that what we really need is to know whether or not it is leel because whether we choose to engage in it directly, have marketing partnerships with the companies that do engage in it or any other association, as a licensed gaming company we need to associate ourselves with businesses that are legal and avoid falling into situations where we're associated with an illegal operation. so we really want clarity. and that's what -- that's one point i think the industry is unified on, that having legal clarity on the subject of daily fantasy is critical. and gaming and gambling issues have historicically and i think appropriately been regulated at a state level and legislated at a state level. there are many states represented on this subcommittee where there is no legal casino gaming and there are others where it's an important industry and part of the economy in those states. we think that's where these decisions ought to lie. on gaming anyway. that that ought to be an issue decide bid the states to decisions of each state. however, to the extent that

organized focus groups to understand their needs to ensure that supervisors are able to take fair leel and effective disciplinary action for the betterment of the agency as a whole. in addition, earlier this year as was noted in the ranking member's comments, the agency revised its policy on administrative leave addressing a concern that this committee has raised in the past. the agency now demands additional justification and review for administrative leave requests and limits the time period of leave to 10 days with limited exceptions such as when an employee poses a danger to the agency and its employees. finally, earlier this year, e.p.a. administrator jeana mccarthy issued an elevationwide memo to encourage staff to raise issues to managers and instructing managers to be receptive. it is our hope that this in addition to providing training and tools will help first line supervisors to address this quickly and effectively. in addition to our own work, the e.p.a.'s office of inspector general plays a critical role in addressing misconduct and helping the agency operate at our best.
