closer to the lehigh valley and the poconos, mainly snow. so we're watching as the snow continues to transition from the northern parts of our area to the southern parts. but it is going to take a while as we head into the rest of your morning hours. so closer to 5:00 6:00 that's when we'll start to see most of the snow just to the south of philadelphia. but it will not be until 7:00, 8:00 in the morning that we see the snow changing over in atlantic city and also stretching into cape may. but once this system gets going, we are going to see most of the accumulating snow in south jersey just to the north of the shore. philadelphia's going to pick up four to seven inches. and we'll see our least amounts closer to the poconos in the lehigh valley. so that's unusual for us. those are normally the locations that see the most snowfall. by 6:00 p.m. we start to see the snow tapering off, which is a good thing as you head home from work. you will notice our temperatures will drop down into the low 20s by 9:00 10:00 at night. it's going to stay that

temperatures north and west through the lehigh valley.low 50s. 56, pottstown and westchester. 59 degrees in wilmington south jersey and delaware. temperatures hanging right around 60 degrees. so, most of the area if not everyone seeing fairly mild temperatures considering what we normally see this time of the year. we are dry on radar. the rain is down to our south. that was the rain that we had yesterday and overnight. that has pushed to our south. we don't expect it to come back until we go into your weekend. so future weather here does show clouds around for the time being. they clear out. we go into tomorrow for your thursday. sunny skies, temperature around 50 degrees. it's actually going to be a nice day tomorrow. will be about 10 degrees cooler than today. then we go into your friday. notice how more clouds start moving in for the morning hours. 11 a.m. friday we should be staying dry. the rain will be moving in friday night. that will lead us into a rainy saturday. so, friday 8 p.m. we could have some showers starting to move into

gloucester, camden, parts of burlington county and all areas north and west including philadelphia, the lehigh valley and all of our suburbs for snow changing over to sleet and ice. icing is the main concern with the first wave of this storm system. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing this low pressure is well out to the wiest between salt lake city and den veer. there's a piece of upper level energy that will start to enhance this low and that low pressure will head up across the great lakes. so, what this will eventually do is pull in some warmer air on wednesday before colder air returns on thursday. but when that moisture moves in it's cold enough that this will begin as frozen precipitation when it first moves in in the afternoon, it will begin as snow then changing over to sleet and freezing rain. the problem not the amounts. the problem is that this will be occurring during the tuesday evening commute. this is what to expect tomorrow morning should be fine just a little bit of a refreeze in the morning between three and 11 o'clock tomorrow night this is when we get a light around p

it does encompass the city every philadelphia, montgomery bucks counties into the lehigh valley. here's y we have this little area of wet weather that's going to be moving on through during the remainder of the morning, here is a look at 6:00 a.m. you can see, light showers starting to push in from the north, and west, snow up in the pocono region. watch what happens to this ban of precipitation pretty muscle falls apart. 7:00 a.m. off to the north. by 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. it is gone. notice what happens at noon. clear skies all across the region, so it will turn out to be much nicer afternoon. stormstorm scan3 shows where it is, blob every moisture, pink shading here. temperatures specially north of the city are still below freezing, even though they are above freezing in philadelphia but the road surface is very cold. watch out for some icy spots to form, especially untreated surfaces bridges overpasses, just with this little bit of freezing drizzle moving through right now. again you can see it is mainly south of allentown watch for slick spots perhaps on 476 northeast extension
