for the second year in a row, lehigh university students planted nearly 3,000 small flags early this morning, one for each life lost that day 14 years ago. the display stretches across the lawn at the center of campus and will be removed at 7:00 p.m. >>> a september 11th ceremony included a tip of the cap to a wounded delaware county police officer. county officials recognized ridley park police officer mark hanley as they mark the 9/11 anniversary in media. officer hanley is still on the mend after being shot late last month. authorities say hanley and his partner were trying to convince a suicidal man to surrender when that man opened fire. officer hanley was shot in the chest and leg. he credits his bulletproof vest with saving his life. today, he received the district attorney's order of merit for heroism. >> the order of merit can be awarded for heroism and bravery and it represents the highest recognition of valor awarded by the district attorney's office. >> the police officers who rescued officer hanley after he was shot were also recognized at today's ceremony. >>> the city

university camera looking south at center city from north philadelphia and everything is in pretty good shape. 62 degrees in philadelphia currently. 49 degrees in allentown. if you're waking up in the lehigh you're a little bit cooler up there this morning. 53 in reading, 56 in trenton, 58 in wilmington, 60 in millville. there's a little bit of a breeze dropping down out of the east-northeast running around 10 miles per hour and once the sun gets up over the horizon your winds are going to be about 10 -- well, six to 12, maybe 15 miles per hour today. so, a little bit on the breezy side but lots of sun on the way as you can see cloud cover overnight receding and heading off the coast. southern delaware still has a little bit more of that. up in the lehigh valley today, mostly sunny skies, pleasant with a high of 79 degrees. down the shore, we're going to go for mostly sunny and pleasant conditions with a high of 75 degrees on the boardwalk in case are you taking a stroll. and in philadelphia we're going for a warm high today of 80 degrees. the world meeting of families officially starting yesterday. i know we've got a lot of pilgrims in town and today especially as we get past about nine
