access opportunity for our families, for our children it's interesting because allentown isn't lehigh valley. i went there twice in 2008 to cover white working class voters in allentown. it's a different allentown now, isn't it? >> we're significant over the past 20 years, we've become a majority latino cities. so many people know allentown for the billy joel song and we still, we're still working class and middle-class voters it's just that many of us speak spanish still there's strong dominican, puerto, you can influence here but it's fundamentally the same. allentown in that respect that we still have those basic concerns we want to make sure that we have economic opportunity. want to make sure that there's housing. i think that's one of the things that's compelling about that. harris campaign is that they're talking about investing in 3 million housing units across the united states that will help folks in cities across the united states do a little bit better. we contrast that against the trump campaign who is approached to reducing the cost of housing seems to be mass deportations, as

the far northwest in the lehigh valley.y will be the areas that ultimately determine who wins pennsylvania. the liver can wi -- whoever can win those counties is likely to win the state. host: as far as the top issues, are they pretty much the same as voters in the rest of the country? guest: i think so. you have to be careful about had you asked that question. we asked what is the most important problem facing the state. in that case people say it is the economy. when you ask what is most important in their vote for president, you see a different lineup. the economy is still the top of the list for people supporting president trump. immigration comes in second in the state. on the other side, kamala harris's numbers, women's rights are well ahead of the economy, as our concerns about character and democracy. immigration doesn't even show up as a concern among those voters. it depends how you ask the question. i would say the issues animating voters across the nation probably are working in the same ways in pennsylvania. ho
