leigh glaser is tracking earl for us tonight. leigh? >> winds are up to 85. in the last couple hours, this thing started to intensity. it is moving over some very warm waters. remember it is the warm waters that helps to feed the hurricanes. it is already up to a category 2 and the winds are 100 miles an hour and moving to the west northwest at about 15 to 16 miles per hour. right now it is actually brushing over the north leeward islands as well as the british islands with hurricane warnings. it is moving to the west, northwest and it will skirt to the north of puerto rico by tomorrow, and then it will continue to accelerate. right now the forecast models are suggesting it will make a curve back toward the east, and it could possibly impact the carolina coastline as we head into wednesday and thursday. friday of this week we will have to continue to watch this. but definitely a system that could impact the mainland u.s. here locally, the temperatures will start to warm up across the bay area. we will look at our forecast coming up. >> thanks, leigh. >>> new
