[crowd shouting] >> jenna: constituents or attendees creating these issues confronting lawmakers about obamacare and the environment, et cetera. it is a long list, quite if you think they have issues with. >> very simple way to do it, you did it perfectly. what is interesting is that voter anger is what fueled the republican rise to power, not just for president donald trump but also they have the house in the senate and as you suggest, maybe now it is boomer ringing on republicans. largely about obamacare, one of the latest examples we see is senator tom cotton, the republican from arkansas. had a very contentious town hall last night, hundreds and hundreds of people turning out, many of them talking about obamacare, pushing back on the senator and suggested th

. >> leland: it strikes me, there is practicalities here. think about the countries at this travel ban deals with. all failed states. there is no way to know anything about anybody who's coming out of these countries, because there's no security services inside the country to deal with, to talk with. iran is a state-sponsored terrorism who has a reason to tell the united states misleading information. does that argument matter at all or do we keep coming back to what elizabeth is talking about when it comes to this is a religious litmus test? >> at this point, it's all about the political atmosphere. if this rolls out next week with all these fixes, they're not necessarily minor, by the way. there are important things to tailor this order. i don't think we'd be where we are if this was done from the beginning. foreigners from abroad don't have constitutional rights, whether you're talking about religion or other categories, there's a lot of ways of the executive has discretion under the law, as long as they're acting truly in the national in

hi. >> hey, leland. it's important to point out. so far they do not fully address whether or not the president's order was legal or not. only dealing if the temporary ban should remain in place while the courts decide its legality. with that in mind the white house has four main options and appeared to narrow the list down to two. one option is to request the 9th court of appeals to reconsider the decision of a three-judge panel. the other is to file an emergency appeal to the supreme court to have the president's executive order to be reinstated. neither of those seem promising, instead the white house has indicated it plans to simultaneously pursue the two remaining options. by going back to the district court in seattle where the case originated to argue the order's legality based on merits. and yesterday on air force one, president trump indicated at the same time his administration is also working on an entirely new executive order to address the issue. >> the unfortunate part it takes time. we win that battle, but we also have
