i said, leland melvin. she said, i've been looking for you. she's like, you're going to work at nasa. i'm like, no, i'm not. we're having this conversation, she's shutting the booth down, she says, well, come help me take my pamphlets to my car. i'm like, who is this woman, you know? [laughter] we go to her car, and she says, you know, i want you to think about it. so i go down, i do an interview, i look around and i get a job offer from nasa by the time i get home. and i said to myself, you know, they've got some really cool stuff, i can get my ph.d. there, all these different things. it was like a campus environment. my interview with joe hayman was incredible. he was a physicist. he said you can come here and just think and create and do what you feel will help civilization. really?
