yes. >> reporter: san francisco's mayor's race finally kicked into gear this week with what else? an attack ad against front- runner mayor ed lee. the ad was put out by rival candidates state senator leland yee and basically accuses the mayor of renegging on his promise not to seek a full term. the reason? so-called power brokers line chinatown activists rose pack talked him into changing his mind. >> my good friend rose pack. we have done. >> reporter: the mayor's synonymous. >> negative campaigning like that is another example of why i wanted to run for mayor in the first place. it does nothing to suggest how we create jobs or improve our economy or make the city safer. >> reporter: yee however is sticking to his guns. >> he is just beholden to the power brokers and i'm not. >> reporter: to drive the point home, yee is going to send out 75,000 door hangers like this all over the city claiming that unlike his rival, he keeps his promises. and they are saying it both in english and chinese. yee isn't the only one ak tag the mayor. candidate jeff adachi is sending out mailers accusing ed lee of cutting a back room deal with city workers for pension reform. >> one week after the mayor made
