lena howland live in pleasanton this morning with what you can expect if you go out over the next feweeks. good morning. lena: good morning. great to be with you. today is the day that alameda county fair will open up its doors today at noon. we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek inside before anybody else. fair officials were kind enough to turn on those lights for some of these rides. for many people, it is the food that brings them back here year after year. for others, it's the carnival rides. the fair will feature pig racing and horse racing. the fair has a lengthy lineup up a big artists performing throughout the summer. jesse mccartney will take the stage on june 21. ashanti will perform on june 22. e-40 will be performing on june 29. country star leanne rimes will take the stage on july 6, just to name a few. keep in mind, concert tickets do not include fair admission this year so if you plan to attend a concert, you still need to purchase a general admission fair ticket or season pass to access the fairgrounds. doors open at noon today. the fair will be running through jul
