abc seven news reporter lena howland is live in pacifica this morning. lena, i could see the wind blowing your hair. it's pretty windy out there still. >> yeah, gloria, it is still extremely windy out here this morning. and we can also hear and see those waves crashing into the seawall behind us here at the pier. now, this is one of several bay area locations that was battered by waves over the weekend. and even though we can hear and see those waves right now, the national weather service has canceled the high surf advisory that was in place only a few hours ago. now, further up north on the sonoma county coast, the sheriff's department says the body of a man who was swept into the ocean over the weekend has been recovered at crystal cove campground, near fort ross sunday morning. officials say the man was standing on the rocks near the shore when he when he got swept into the ocean by a crashing wave at ocean beach in san francisco. one fire captain is now warning folks to beware of dangerous surf and rogue waves. >> inexperienced swimmers, inexperience

lena howland abc seven news. >> thank you lena.gs, a preview of some things happening in the bay area and the day ahead. >> for students at oakland high school are planning to walk out of class today for a day without immigrants. it's all part of a national day of action to protest the trump administration's mass deportations. students plan to walk out of the classroom at 10 a.m. and then marched to lake merritt, where they will hold a rally. they're also calling on other immigrant rights supporters across the bay area to walk out of work in march and rally in their communities. >> sfmta will continue work on a water problem that shut down the central subway tunnel. crews are repairing a leak at the chinatown rose park station. that station, along with three others, will be shut down for repairs through march 14th. >> the san francisco spca and saint anthony's foundation will co-host a free dog vaccination clinic today. it's all part of an effort to slow down a parvo virus outbreak in the tenderloin. parvo is highly contagious. it'
