got the ninth slot which was my number the majority of the career but i'm going to go with lennar. >>ow. >> what is your reasoning? >> interesting, interesting. >> it is a tech oriented real estate firm and if you look at low interest rates right now, no home building, purchases, the flight from the city to the suburbs, this company is a sleeper who i feel started in single family rentals but transitioning into what will be one of the leading home builders locally. i feel like also the innovation is -- that department is a big sleeper as they back some of the top companies that have gone public in recent months and one being a company hippo, home insurance company blowing the tech sector out the water. >> here we go with lennar. hardly a fashionable pick in the context of a bitcoin we should mention that andre is a venture partner at the venture fund and now stephanie link is on the clock your reaction to lennar? >> not a sleeper in terms of performance but the fundamentals that have driven it to this point could continue post-pandemic. >> creative. stewart miller, old friend, great j

you look at home improvement retailers, or lowe's, home depot, lennar's a big home builder in floridalay this, but just focus on the fact that people are moving, and this is a force of nature, and it's not going to stop anytime soon. charles: two days in the books, guys. earnings season's been phenomenal. [laughter] a lot more to go. we've got to leave three other names reporting next week, david, you mentioned the banks already. how do you think earnings are going to play out, and where are you focused with respect to making money on this? >> yeah. i think the earnings outlook should still continue to look good, but my story for the next quarter is really tech. we saw some of the selloff in the nasdaq and this concern about interest rates, and i think we saw a lot of value in tech. nasdaq was down 14% top to bottom from where it is today, so going forward i think it's going to be harder to find value. when you can't find a lot of value, you buy strength. so i think some of these tech companies with strong balance sheets, strong growth rates, that's where i think you're going to see m

. >> i think jim said if he was picking his names that ford might be one of them what about lennar, this. he talked about the fundamentals of the housing boom and even about some of their venture capital -- not venture capital but their investment arm, their innovation, a lot of different planks that could be part of this story is that going to be enough, do you think? >> no question about it. i think -- listen, again, i thought andre made an interesting pick jim loved it i think it would have been there in the second round for him. getting to the stock specifically it's had a huge run. look at the move it's had the first four or five months. stocks spiked up north of $100 they say interest rates going higher doesn't affect them i'm not so sure that's the case. i just think it's run too far too fast i just think from $100 what it's going to be looking at next year i like the pick. maybe he knows more than i do which is absolutely a possibility. you've watched "fast money" the last 14 1/2 years. but i just think there were better places to go. >> we appreciate that post draft analysis hav

the homebuilder etf was one of those at new highs yesterday a lot of the stocks in it like le lennar which you have calls in and lowe's which is a new all-time high as well, what are you doing with those now >> holding them, scott in particular i love that the interest rates have come back rather than running away to the upside so that's been good for both of those companies in particular. you know, i just keep waiting for the moment when i have to pull the trigger on home depot because it has been a sideways mover, scott if i saw some big institutional volume in there, i would love to get back into that name. but, like you say, lowe's, i'm willing to stick with that if we start to see some other homebuilders catching bids on the institutional side, i would be happy to chase into those, too, because rates are not running away from us and that's a good thing for both the homebuilders and for the people that supply the stuff like lowe's and home depot. >> masko, honeywell, sarat, you own those? >> i do. and i own lowe's as well and i like honeywell as well i think honeywell will be one
