leon harris is in our newsroom with a look at two other major cases. >> the supreme court ruled today on one case involving a separation -- this fall is going to hear a case involving a cake maker in same sex weddings. now, that first case involved a lutheran church in missouri that's denied a state grant. that program was helping groups but the church had its application denied because a state law prohibited tax dollars going towards religious institutions. the court ruled in favor of the church that could do similar laws in 39 other states. we've also seen a number of cases voing businesses de -- involving businesses denying weddings services and this fall, supreme court is now saying it will hear arguments in a case involving a cake make ir. you may have heard of this case. he will not make cake for same sex couple it violates his religious view. courts have ruled that the state law there does not allow that refusal. phillips is appealing. >>> one more note from the supreme court today, there had been some speculation that justice anthony who has been a crucial swing voter and majo
