they named him leslie lynch king, jr. he is the person we know as gerald ford. we have his christening gown and a few other things of interest, but one of the things we feature in this case is the baby book. a lot of mothers keep books on their children, even today. dorothy was no exception back in 1913. she began keeping a book on the baby's experience. we can't present the real thing, but we present a duplicate in flip form. some of the things you see are the first picture of dorothy with the baby. he was born in a house in omaha, nebraska, his grandfather's house. some of the other interesting features about it is she records baby's first outings. the first entry is this taxicab ride. it occurred two weeks after his birth. that is when dorothy king was fleeing leslie lynch king. he proved to be a very abusive husband. and that abuse began on the wedding day, through the honeymoon, and extended into the time of her pregnancy. as soon as she recovered her strength after the birth of the child, she secreted him into a taxi cab and drove them over to council bluf

abc 7 news reporter leslie brinkley is there live with the latest. leslie? >> reporter: this is a tragic accident here on school property. a woman who was an aide, an instructional aide, we are told, was standing right here on the sidewalk. a white suv in the faculty parking lot back here suddenly accelerated, crashing through a gate that was across here. that gate smashed onto the woman. the suv ran her over. the gate crushed her. that's where they ended up across the street. she was very seriously injured. we can show you a shot from above of oakland high school via sky 7. this happened at 1:40 this afternoon. students and staff witnessed the accident. police are here right now taking statements. as i said, the woman suffered major internal injuries. she is in surgery, we are told, right now at high land hospital. as for the driver, the witnesses say it was a woman and may have been another school employee, investigators were looking into what happened. >> it does appear as though the person who was driving the vehicle was trying to move it, possibly tryin
