. >> abc7 news reporter leslie brinkley is live at the scene with the latest. leslie? >> reporter: quite the scene. we have busy highway 4 behind us. we have a major intersection and a plane crashing in the middle of it, you see it back there right on the corner at 2:45 this afternoon. that's when this small single engine glass star plane went down. let's take a look at a view from sky 7 of the wreckage. the plane was taking off from buchanan field when the pilot reported a mechanical problem. the plane turned around to come back, but missed the runway just a few hundred feet away really from the air field. the plane crashed into a stop light at this intersection sheering off one of the wings. witnesses at an adjacent car dealership told abc7 news they saw no smoke from the plane as it came down. it did not catch fire. the pilot was the only one on board and was pulled out of the plane by a bystander and rushed to john muir medical center. [ inaudible ] condition. the plane just missed cars at the car dealership and injured no one else. somehow got on the ground here.

leslie. >> reporter: some new developments, alma. the park is closed today. but investigators are drilling into the angle of this green slide, the emerald slide, the emerald plunge it's called. cal osha said many speed slides in california have 30 degree drops. this one is extreme with an 830 degree dr -- 80 degree drop. it is all part of the investigation. there was an accident saturday, a boy careened out of the bottom trough during the grand opening of this water park. just the day before, cal osha gave the green light and issued a permit for the ride. after they said the water park owned by the city of dublin, corrected a long list of issues noted in an april inspection, including loose bolts at the base. they are zeroing in on now on what they say appear to be pooling or puddling of water in the trough at the bottom. >> because that may have contributed to the accident, so that's one of the things that they will be looking eight very, very closely. >> reporter: does that then apply to slides like the emerald plunge at other parks? >> you know, that's a g

leslie? >> reporter: well, eric, that 10-year-old boy is back at home with his parents in san francisco tonight. he was taken to a hospital just in case to be looked over for some scrapes, but in the end he was treated and release d let's take a look at that video. watch the green slide. down he comes and then he flies up and over the edge onto the concrete. this accident involving a 10-year-old boy happened at 12:15. immediately the three-story slide called the emerald plunge was shut down, as was the steep blue slide next to it. they both plummet at 80 degree angles. >> i was standing there. he seemed to be shook. but seemed to be okay. came right up. and immediately went into the first aid room and was assessed by staff. his parents were here. >> shocking. you know, it's like the first day of the opening and i hope the kid's okay. >> reporter: this brand new $43 million city-owned water park and aquatic center in dublin stayed open the rest of the afternoon. hundreds enjoyed the four other

. >> leslie, i'm curious, when it comes to tepper's slayers in snap, could this be a reflection of the ipo? >> certainly, these holdings are reflective of anything they held at the end of the quarter march 31st. it's absolutely an allocation in the ipo, which as you know, a lot of hedge fund managers tend to flip on hot ipos like snap that went way up on the first day of trading. >> leslie, thank you. is this a second life for shares of snap? or should we say, oh, you know what, this is the shares, the allocation of things you bought the from the start? >> certainly, it's a scale reading of where these guys were. there is no question, they could have traded snap aggressively. i think a lot of people can be aggressive, not in the name or traded out of it. not necessarily feel, put it this way, they could be positive on the stock but not need to own it here. i think people look at snap and these last numbers, shrinking daily the revenue miss. it feels like it could be a facebook story, give them a krans to get their crash in, except for the fact that i'm not sure it is. i do think they'r

abc 7 news reporter leslie brinkley is live with new details at the wave. and leslie, the inspectors have lots of questions to answer. >> that's right, eric. tonight here at the wave, dublin city officials say they want to know what happened. why did that 10-year-old boy careen off a slide on the very first day this park was operating here. cal osha inspected all six of these slides on friday and issued permits. the very next day, 90 minutes after the grand opening on saturday, this happened. a 10-year-old boy hydroplaned off the emerald plunge slide. he scraped his back and is now back home with his family in san francisco. after the accident, the green slide and the blue slide next to it, both with steep 80-degree drops were shut down. now a third slide has been closed. >> totally unrelated. simply put, we need to continue to monitor the water flow pressure. and the actual device that does that was not showing any reading. it was malfunctioning. >> reporter: so three out of six slides are roped off for mao. cal osha inspectors plan to meet with the manufa
