at valley view middle school with more on the threat, leslie brinkley. >> reporter: larry we are learning more today about the 13-year-old arrested saying he was just joking. guns were confiscated at his home. at snapchat that reported the threat to the fbi. last friday, online, a threat to shoot up valley view middle school on the last day was post-ed over the picture of an actress with an anti-gay slur and 30 gun emojis. >> there was a conversation between two juveniles. that conversation was reported to snapchat. snapchat was concerned about the content of that conversation. so they alerted the fbi. >> based on the ip address the fbi alerted concord police. the school threatened was valley view middle school in pleasant hill. the 13-year-old writing the threat was arrested friday night at his home in martinez. >> it was downplayed somewhat. he made the mention he went serious about the treats. but obviously in this day and age you can't take the threats lightly. >> the fbi framed it this which. this could have been the next school shooting incident. but it wasn't. because of the workin
