let's discuss it with leslie marshall. larry o'connor, radio host here in washington. leslie and larry, we talked about you guys starting your own radio show. you are so great on the radio. let's talk about the president talking about immigration last night. these are some of the reactions from democratic senators. senator kamala harris saying he was scapegoating and engaging in fearmongering. senator blumenthal said he came across as the divider in chief. senator menendez that it was bigotry and senator durbin called it inflammatory. larry, what do you make of that? >> only a democrat can hear the president saying that american citizens have dreams in this country and consider that to be a bigoted, low point. i wish kamala harris was more angry about the fact that many unaccompanied alien minors have committed this country, recruited ms-13 gang members, and murdered. their vicious gang activity. weiss and she more angry about that. >> shannon: you know that a lot of people who say if there were that the president talk anonymous 13 last night and same breath he's talkin

let's explore it with conservative television host alley stuckey and leslie marshall. thank you for being here. leslie, i want to start with you. how do you think the president and the white house dealt with this situation? >> you know, jason. sometimes it's not the crime, it's the cover-up. that's the problem here. it was who knew what and when and why or in this case why wasn't something done about it? we do know that kelly knew about this in the fall. we do know that this information was out there in the white house to the president's attorney back a year ago. and yet there was still not a thorough investigation, nothing was done and they were still going forward-looking into possible high-level security clearance for porter for this individual. that's very troubling. further troubling for me, jason, as a woman is that the president today wished an alleged accused abuser of women well and said nothing about the alleged victims. that's very troublesome for me. >> jason: what was your reaction to it when you saw this story and how the white house dealt with it? >> firs

lisa boothe and leslie marshall. they join us now. here we are in the middle of this debate again.e're hearing from some republicans including the president some willingness to make at least small changes to gun laws in this country. >> i think what they're looking at it is bill introduced by senator cornyn in response to the texas church shooting where we had the failure by the air force to submit information to the existing nix database that would have prevented that individual from obtaining a gun because there is a breakdown within the nix database. that's also the failure of the air force for submitting that information. we saw with the charleston church shooting as well a failure with the submitting of information to the nix database. so that's a big concern. i think the broader question here we've seen the breakdown of government, the breakdown of the system particularly in the shooting with florida. police were at the home of this individual 39 times. the f.b.i. was alerted twice. florida mental health institute looked at this individual yet he still walked free. so how do
