here's lester holt.we promised earlier, we're back on the air with a significant update to what we now know is a fatal school shooting in marysville, washington. it happened at the pilchuk high school in the cafeteria today. authorities say what they believe to be a student opened fire in the cafeteria. we know that two people are dead. police say the shooter is dead and another person, not known if that is a student or an adult. in addition, four other injured were transported to hospitals. three of them are said to be in very critical condition. it happened about 10:45 pacific time at the school. it's a short drive, short distance, north of seattle. austin taylor was a student who was about ten feet from where the shooting happened. he talked to king tv in seattle and described what he saw. >> and he was quiet, sitting there, everyone was talking. >> we've lost some of that tape. let me paraphrase. he was ten feet away, he saw this person with no expression pull out what he described as a small pistol,
