the city of west columbia has issued a boil water advisory for people in one area of lexington county. anyone living in the 400, 500 and 600 blocks of old barnwell road, lynn drive, bel-air drive and in the savannah woods subdivision should boil their water for at least one minute before drinking it. city officials restored water to the area after a driver hit a water hydrant. advisory has been lifted.
