it was lost ghattas hills around lexington reservoir.francisco, third in san jose, picked up two tents. our initial cold front and that's what it is . it's a cold front is moving in. right now. very cold air is coming in behind that, in fact, maybe even colder air than what we saw last week. the one big difference, though it would be clearing versus cloudy beyond wednesday morning, rain moved into the north already some lower snow level, especially mendocino county, lake county, but this system is actually raising snow levels around here a little bit. but rain is moving in, and it's going to be off and on rain taking his into probably tuesday night or wednesday morning. clouds rolling in this is a cold system. rain and wind was snow in the hills. there was a winter weather advisory out for snow around 6500 ft so much higher so far than last week. forties now, and a lot of the temps here. thunderstorms are possibility when you get this cold, unstable air coming in right there coming up here that could trigger that later today. initially,

lexington reservoir. it is raining in los gatos, obviously. in the east bay hills, it is just scattered showers. but you see a little blue showing up right there. snow has gotten down as low as the ridge tops there, which means grizzly peak at 1800 feet has had beautiful snow all morning. we have been looking at that as well with our live shots. justin andrews has been there to share it with us all morning long. it really has been very cool to look at. and the north bay has had its fair share of snow. and a that is higher than 1000 feet will have a light dusting of snow this morning. if you are not getting snowed on, you will be able to get to see snow wherever you are in the bay area. scattered showers staying with us this afternoon. there is an uptick in snow as we go through late afternoon. watch this wave. saturday morning gets us to the predawn hours of saturday. more snow in the north bay mountains. by saturday afternoon, it will come to an end. then there is another system coming our way. another storm comes in for the second half of sunday. we will look at that in our seven-day forecast.
