lexington park, 65 degrees in st. mary's county. notice the clouds often are northwest, a narrow band of clouds especially in west virginia and ohio. that is moving in from the northwest. not all of it is making it over the mountains. some of the showers are falling apart as they make their way over the mountains. some of that energy could trigger an isolated showers at later this afternoon after 3:00 p.m. and into the nighttime. we still have a chance in the nighttime cold. front associated with that system and area of low pressure causing cloud cover and isolated showers. that will pass through the washington area later on today. behind that, we have much cooler air that will settle into town. we will see a drop of temperatures by 10 degrees tomorrow. a few areas of light rain on the futurecast here and there. i don't agree with the placement of the rain being only in southern maryland, but it does signify there's a slight chance of a few showers. again on wednesday we may see a dot on the radar screen. that looks few and far between as well. no big relief in sight from the dry conditions that we have. we could use a big shift in

virginia, southern portions of maryland. watch out around quantico and fredricksburg, lexington park and calvert county, yea you may see heavyhe morning. breaks in the afternoon. the rain will try to return around 9:00, 10:00 tomorrow night around the i-95 corridor. maybe two rounds of rain tomorrow. both could hold moderate to potentially heavy rain. thinking upwards of half an inch of rain unless we get heavier downpours. as far as temperatures tonight, 49 in gaithersburg, 47 in leesburg, about 54 inside the district. temperatures on the mild side this evening. then tomorrow, they're going to be nice and warm. again, two periods of rain. in between, if we see some sunshine, temperatures are going to be up in the mid to upper 70s, maybe 74 in gaithersburg and 78 in fredricksburg. that's good news there, too. 65 on your friday as we clear out with plenty of sunshine and a cool weekend. only 58 on saturday with a 50% chance of showers. most of those should be early sunday morning, more of the same. a couple more showers on sunday, too. not a washout either day. but it's a good idea to have the umbrellas handy. >>> thank you,

lexington, ky. those are coming our way. they will be driving up a bit but i still think there will be some showers. there is around charleston west virginia. as we go through the nighttime hours by tomorrow morning there could be a few scattered showers around us and especially for you folks in southern maryland. as we get into around noon time, we will begin to get into a southwesterly wind. temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be into the 70's. by later in the afternoon there is a slight risk of some afternoon showers and thundershowers before dry air comes back as we get into friday. it is an april pattern. from april showers tomorrow morning, at temperatures well up into the low 50's. then i think we will break out a little bit. there is a risk of an afternoon thundershower. nothing widespread or severe. temperatures will be well above average, a bid to high 70's. a batch of little showers comes through. drier air on friday. the same whether from begins to come back our way. that will be around us. it will not be a washout, there is a chance of some weekend showers and thundershowers. i have a new blog i just posted up about all of th
