lias commitment to education is highlight today all she does. she goes above and beyond what is second in the office and durg the internship she does a amazing job of trying to make a difference. i know she participates in a lot of community events as well. >> i'm leya. i'm so honored to receive this award like commissioner davis said there are so many amazing students i worked with and that applied. thank you to the human rights commission for supporting me, giving me such a welcoming environment while i was there. i learned so much and glad i received the award. thank you to my cohort for supporting me, i learned so much from them and thank you to the human rights commission. some of the things i talked about in my application were some of the things i think need to be taken in order to improve and promote voting in our community and i talked about how youth need to be more prepared to vote and high schools need to do a better job engaging high school students in the presidential campaigns and having students holds high school campaigns to get
