even the mayor inside right now, libby schaaf, admitted, this is just a starting point when it comes to building the stadium. we want to show some renderings of what the stadium will look like. the goal is to start playing baseball games by 2023. and as far as how many people can watch the games at that new ballpark, they're saying it will seat about 34,000 folks. and it will be elevated to meet at the waterfront area here near jack london square. this is going to be privately financed. so they didn't want to disclose the cost of the new ballpark, but saying it will be the centerpiece of the jack london area of town with housing and small businesses in the area. so it will be pretty active come game day. they hope to redevelop the old coliseum site, adding jobs and housing to the area. but that's still up in the air as far as who is going to end up owning that piece of land. but today during the news conference, the focus was on this new howard terminal location for the ballpark. here's what officials as well as oakland mayor libby schaaf had to say about it. >> you know, we've alway
