"life, libery & levin" starts right now. ♪ news alert. i'm ashley strohmier, live in new york.e are following breaking news out of israel. that's where a nationwide labor strike has begun in the international, the largest international airport in the country is now closed. the country's largest labor union called for the strikes after the bodies of six hamas held hostages were found in underground tunnels in gaza on saturday. union leaders hope a strike will put additional pressure on the government to reach a ceasefire and hostage deal with hamas. the strike was set to start at 6 a.m. local time, 1 a.m. eastern time, and it's expected to last for one day. israel's main international airport shut down in solidarity. it's expected to be closed for at least two hours. israel's finance minister was working on sunday to stop the strike from happening, but his attempts appeared to have failed. this all coming as massive protests continue to erupt across israel. in response to the six bodies recovered by the idf. one of those victims was a 23 year old israeli american. an estimated 5
