sorry, principal liebert. no worries. you can call me sarah. um you know, i've been looking at one of the slides that tp, um, shared with the four. it was like grade appropriate assignments, strong instruction, deep engagement and high expectations. and we scored lowest in strong instruction. it was 28. and it says that that's teaching that asks students to do the intellectual heavy lifting in class. and so i think the that we need to consider and i'm including myself in this, we if we want teachers to facilitate classrooms where students are doing the intellectual heavy lifting, we have to consider the professional development that we ask our teachers to engage in, which means top down. you listen and you just do what i say isn't going to help them change their teaching practice. and so i think we as a district have to think about how can we model the kind of teaching that we want with our teachers so that we can bring them along to do that in their classroom? um that's my thought. sorry about that. it's very sorry about that. um, and that was
