( catherine ) today marks the one-year anniversary of the pulse nightclub shooting in orlando florida,...whichleft 49 people dead and dozens injured. it was one of the worst mass shootings in modern u.s. history...the gay nightclub was packed on this night last year... 29-year- old omar mateen - who had pledged allegiance to isis - had walked in and opened fire...and held hostages for hours before being shot and killed by police. his wife is accused of helping him and is facing charges in federal court. the pulse nightclub is now being transformed into a permanent memorial. hundreds of people have been leaving flowers, cards and drawings....to remember the 49 victims. and at a memorial service - politicians and community members promised never to forgetwhat happened here.. mayor teresa jaco
