it is just i like i liked it and i like, oh, this is a guilty pleasure. and i had never watched it when i was a kid because i was a little too young for it. but i mean, not kind of i do think it's kind of an accurate representation of orphanhood, but. i mean, to hit you with like a double jeopardy question, you don't have to answer in the form of a question either. but was this happened fairly recently? so within the last 20 years, when it was a politician or a leader came out and said, well, if we just went back to orphanages it was all your questions. it's all of your problems who i am or who that was. if you what your take on that is. yeah. so it was newt gingrich was in the 1990s and it was in the discussions that led to the getting rid of welfare as we know it. and he he seemed to think that instead of foster care we should be putting children back orphanages and like really punishing the parents and yeah, we should not be doing that and the part of the reason why i'm like, oh, i wish that politicians would read this book is because newt gingrich bas

it would be like a check in and like, show them like that. the actions that they're taking where it could possibly lead. and you know, and like the resolutions that we could do to prevent that type of stuff going down that road is very is very dangerous. you you never know what's at the end of that road. and, and your life could be cut short when you, when you do those type of things. and i definitely think it's just, just that extra support and the extra, like love and showing that there's a positive side instead of having to join like a gang for just a sense of belonging or, you know, i think they also probably joined for like protection or like, like he said, like no love there. and they find it out there, but it's really not real love. it's just for that moment. yeah. and i think that's the best way we could do it. just set up a plan and maybe take them out and see a different world. other than, you know, the street life. yeah. what other effective strategies do you guys have for to help the youth stay out of trouble? like, maybe it's not

i took my family there like i don't know, maybe last year or so like we did.a friend of mine, jade was doing a magic show there and so that was super cool that like we got to see jade in your in your home really. and i brought some of my family who had never been who just kind of moved here from kentucky i guess. and so that was like a real trip for them. this is like a san francisco experience to take them to the greg angelo museum and to see the magic of jade and like you know, to to just be like surprised by what the evening's going to bring. so i suggest everybody bring their family. they're like don't tell them where you're going. just tell them you're going over to someone's house for like, you know, some i don't know or d'oeuvres or charcuterie or something. there's going to be a cheese board somewhere and and then you show up and they just are like completely amazed by what is going to happen and like it was the best experience and you know, it's one of those experiences that i really feel exemplifies what san francisco is about. you kind of show up an

it was like so much stress because of the unknown because you don't know like how it's if they can like bring a bomb on us like, you know, in the next minutes or whatever as versus was like advocacy as well. but in a couple of days, what changed it, it was this amazing unity of people that there was like a lot of volunteering activities that put my mind off. you know, the, the fact that there is a war that much to get pick a deal that i'm united with the, my own people from different cities. you know, the fact that the volunteering still going off course, but it was such a like force that you can see that together with your own people, you can withstand that. like it was really powerful. who knew the what about you? how has this war shaped your life recently? oh yes, of course. i remember the beginning of the world was very scary for me and my family though, still i was in leave and i decided to go to poland for some time for a couple of months. but then i realized that i have to be at home. i have to do anything i can do to for 4 people uh, to help people and the way i can do it. and s
