da lin was at the very center of the action this afternoon as it was going down in san francisco city hall when the first "i do" took place. da, what was it like inside city hall? people were moving around, cameras, the couple was coming up, kamala harris was coming down the stairs. what was that like? >> reporter: it was packed. it was very exciting. so i was in there. it was around 4:10, 4:15, when the first couple lined up to try to fill out their application for the marriage certificate. it's a small office. there were at least 20 to 30 people inside. aside from the family members, the couples' supporters and friends. there were at least 20 cameras that were inside including myself. and folks were screaming. they were cheering. they were yelling. a lot of happy faces. whether you're against same-sex marriage or for same-sex marriage, and when you see all those happy faces, you couldn't help but to feel that excitement to feel happy for the two people who have been waiting for so many years to tie their knots. and this is footage of the clerk's office after the first couple. you ca
