the area we are talking about, we find linda so, she has been on the scene. what can you tell us? >> reporter: firefighters are wrapping up operations here, the fire is out, they spent the last couple of hours going through the two town homes that were damaged in the fire, looking for hot spots. things look great right now. the two homes went up in flames around 3:20 this morning when firefighters got here, they found those two town home tons end this is the 1000 block of cutler harbor in pasadena, they were engulfed. we have pictures that were taken. courtesy of the arundel breaking news page on facebook. those two town homes were fully engulfed. it took 76 firefighters to put the fire out. in all, about 15 pieces of fire equipment, arrived here, they could this a 2-alarm fire. the good news this morning is that no one was injured in the fire. two families displaced including four adults, two children and one dog, we are told red cross is on scene there, they arrived to assist the familys that have been displaced. again, firefighters right now are wrapping things up, they were ab

linda so abc2 news. >>> a bomb threat force as blain to land in buffalo. the flight was headed from boston to chicago. a woman in boston apparently called in that threat to authorities. the fbi says the whole thing was a result of a domestic dispute that led to the jetblue flight being diverted. it turned out to be false and fbi representative in boston says they continue the investigation and questions the woman who called in that threat. >>> new this morning, homeless people are being used as wi-fi hot spots in austin texas. under the pilot program the homeless earn 20 dollars a day and cash for anyone who logs online. users ask for password which in turn starts a conversation. the program is a brain child of an ad agency and this is a talker. it's the hot topic today. we want to know what you think. using the homeless to offer wireless hot spots to festival goers. head to the facebook fan page and read more about the story and weigh in with your comments. >>> as the price of gas continues to climb, people right now are looking for other ways to get arou

linda so is live. we are trying to establish a live shot. this is in pasadena, linda, can you hear me? >> reporter: yeah, i can. we got here about five minutes ago. the fire is out right now. firefighters are working on putting out the hot spots. there are lots of trucks k fire trucks, engines lining the street. it took 15 pieces of equipment to get the fire under control, 76 firefighters responded. it took them an hour to bring this fire under control. what happened was, they got the call at 3:20 this morning, the fire started in an end unit town home, 1001 cutler harbor in the town home community. when firefighters got here, they found two town homes that were fully engulfed in flames. it took about an hour to bring the fire under control. it is under control. the fire is out. firefighters are going through working to get the hot spots out. those two town homes were extensively damaged. we are waiting on red cross to help the families that were displaced. four adults, two kids, one pet, all displaced by the fire. red cross is on their way

linda so is here with how they pulled it off being tipped off from what we understand linda. >> reporter: that's right. they were able to obtain search and seizure warrants with information from wiretaped jailhouse conversations. it began in january when police arrested a person with a handgun. that investigation is ultimately what led them to the major bust. police in the eastern district confiscated 16 firearms handguns and semiautomatic weapons. they found 8,000 dollars in cash and ammunition and two bulletproof vest and raw heroin. police searched three homes in the city one home in baltimore county and one storage unit in the city. three suspects in all have been arrested. >> with this arrest they got a major weapons dealer off the streets. bottom line. they he took somebody who was providing other people with weapons off the streets and now he is going to face a substantial amount of time in federal prison. >> those three suspects face federal charges. linda so, abc2 news. >> news time 5:03 and maryland scag federal judge to keep the gun permit law in place while they appeal the ru

. >> linda so is here with the scary incident.some of it caught on cell phones and can you imagine what passengers were thinking. >> reporter: yes. terrifying moments. they were caught on tape during what should have been a routine flight from new york to las vegas. this video was shot by a passenger and shows several people rushing to subdue the flight captain. witnesses say he began acting eradically and yelling comments about the middle east and needing to get plane down. authorities say the captain got up to leave the cockpit during the flight and the copilot who was concerned about his behavior locked him out. that triggered the rants. other crew and passengers held the pilot down until the flight was diverted to texasch the captain was safely removed -- texas. the captain was removed and the flight continued. one passenger wants to thank the copilot. >> the copilot of the flight, he really i think is the hero because he had the sense to recognize that something was going wrong. >> reporter: some on the flight say they were t
