good afternoon everyone i'm linda hurtado. thanks so much for joining me. about half dozen manatee got stuck in golf cou citrus county. fox 13's aaron mesmer is following the rescue effort at crystal river. how's it going, aaron? >> well they've been pretty successful so far. sinceally this morning they able to rescue 4 manatees, out of this pond here. if you take a look over here behind me you can see what's going on there is there are some volunteers and experts are trying to a corral the ring manatees that are in there they stretched a net out across the pond. and they are trying to get the net so they can corralled and then taken out of this pond. and then moved over to the back to the crystal river. what we know right now there's at least one more ma'am and calf combo possibly another manatee in addition to those two. this rescue effort has going on since early this morning they've stuck in here since hurricane hermine they were washed over bridge that separates this pond on golf course that a canal that connects to the crystal river we're at the plant

i'm linda hurtado. hurricane >> good afternoon, everyone. now a category three storm. is it still all about that turn? >>jim: is really is. we'll watch for that as we go through the weekend. it's now a category three hurricane. hurricane reconnaissance plane has been flying in the storm throughout the morning and they found the eye. it's about 16 miles in diameter, kind of hard to pick out on the satellite view, but they also found it had increased quite a remember yesterday, we were talking about with the wind shear, we would see slow intensification with this system. well, that didn't happen and it intensified very quickly through the overnight hours. that's really one of the things. we say this all the time that we struggle with is that intensity forecast. here is the latest on it. 115 mile-per-hour winds. it's currently moving to the west-southwest at 12 miles an hour. it will continue on the track as we go through the next, say, 24 to 36 hours but by saturday, that's when we start to look for the turn. it's going to be the everything is how quickly that turn happe
