. >>> your realtime captioner is linda marie macdonald. >>> good afternoon, i'm grace lee. frank has the afternoon off. >>> we begin with breaking news on barry bonds. a federal judge just sentenced the former giants slugger to two years' probation and 30 days house arrest for obstruction of justice. we go live to anne makovec who was in the courtroom. >> reporter: the sentence just came down within the last 45 minutes. you can see a crowd there gathered listening to the defense right now as they react to this sentence. the headline here is that there is no prison time for barry bonds. that was his and his defense team's main concern but he did get probation. let's look at what the judge handed out today. two years' probation, 30 days house arrest, though that is at his house in a large house in beverly hills. also 250 hours of community service and a $4,000 fine which the prosecution actually called laughable considering the size of bonds' bank account. now, the judge stayed this sentence pending appeal. that means it is not officially going to go into effect until that ap
