general leonard wood, who fought fort leonard, is named after came out here to visit charles lindbergh and did a flyover here that was the earlier that spring, lindbergh had done flier across flown across the atlantic and he was a barnstorming kind of tour across the country. he flew over rapid city, flew over the game lodge while the coolidge's were here. so rapid city was really thrilled with the attention and sort of the celebrities came to see coolidge while he was here. and he also met with a lot of just everyday people south, dakota citizens, south dakota politician towns. and he did make several visits with native americans in rapid city area. he visited the rapid city indian school, which was a boarding school for native children. he also took a journey to the pine ridge indian reservation is about 40 or 50 miles east of here. for south dakotans, it was an honor that coolidge chose south dakota in the black hills for, people in the oglala sioux tribe. this had been their land promised in a treaty only 60 years earlier. so some were excited about the visit. others. others were,

okay so on that motion, vice president lopez make sure trasvina mr lindbergh. commissioner eppler. so that motion carries 5 to 0 and appeal is granted with those conditions and i will follow up with the parties on how to submit revised plans. thank you. thank you very much, so we are moving on to item number five. this is a special item discussion of possible action on december 14th 2020 to the board of appeals heard appeal numbers 22 just 076 and 22 jack 077 regarding building permits issued for work at 1 46 23rd avenue. the board granted the appeals with conditions at the board's march . 15th 2023 hearings got english that training for the appellant in those cases, spoke during general public comment and submitted a letter regarding these appeals. mr m village indicated that not all. not all of the board's conditions were satisfied at the request of president swig. the department of building inspections submitted a response letter to the board of appeals on april 4th 2023. the commissioners will consider the letter submitted by mr m. lige ndb and determine the appropriate course
