abc action news anchor lindsay logue is live now on old polk city road. is the sheriff's crime scene unit out there as well? >> reporter: two of them are out here and are working alongside fire investigators. i'll tell you from covering fires like this for many years that is not uncommon for them to be out here. one of their jobs is to prepare things for the medical examiner. their other job is to determine if their deaths, of the two people in the mobile home were suspicious. look at what is left of this mobile home. here at the front of the house, closest to us, that was the living room. in the back is the bedroom. fire investigators seem to be focusing more on the living else. they've been putting out hot spots overnight as well and they are trying basically to make this home safe for investigators to go inside. so they can further this investigation. of course at night now still very tough to see what is going on but we do know witnesses this morning. took the fire department 10 minutes to get here and another 10 to put out the fire. so 20 minutes fro

. >> abc action news reporter lindsay logue is live near old polk city road. started? >> reporter: not yet. of hours. here's why -- number one, it's still very dark and it's tough for firefighters to actually see what is going on. but number two, take a look at home. it is charred from end to end. just a couple of minutes ago we heard the fire hoses on, sounds like they are continuing to put this mobile home. firefighters and investigators are already here, started this investigation. again as you said witnesses called 911 but by the time firefighters got here they say fire had already destroyed 3/4 of this home and found bodies of a man and woman inside and one of their dogs died. another was injured, two dogs are ok. again still very early on in this investigation. they ever not released the names of the people who died but i can tell you the state fire marshal is already out here. has already begun this investigation. of course we'll know much more in a couple of hours especially once the sun starts to rise, they can get a really good picture of what happened here o
