lindsey: it is disappointing.that we are getting back to pre-pandemic levels of activity. we romanticize, but we were already losing momentum. down to 2%. it is likely that we do return to that more organic growth. jonathan: i just wonder when it becomes obvious that it will become the trend. maybe it will and in march. if we are going back to trend, does that become evident next year? what does that mean for the conversation? lindsey: i think it does become evident in the middle part of next year. i think the fed is balancing the fact that they want to quell inflation, but the committee recognizes that they are still very fragile or increasingly dependent on the monetary punch bowl. while they are willing to initiate lift off, the ascension to the cycle peak is likely to be very muted and slow. that peak could be 2.5%. they are talking about accommodative levels for the market. lisa: that is what i keep wondering. can the market withstand that, if the economy is slowing down, and tandem? lindsey: absolutely. we a

i'm lindsey reiser. we begin this morning with more of that breaking news in pontiac, michigan, where several investigations into tuesday's school shooting are ramping up. james and jennifer crumbley, the parents of the suspected shooter ethan crumbley, you see them in the top left on your screen, pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in this virtual court appearance. investigators in detroit are also looking into someone who may have helped them allegedly hide from polic in this downtown detroit warehouse. the decision on filing charges will ultimately be up to the prosecutor. the superintendent of the school district where the shooting happened is reacting to the prosecutor's comments about their alleged missed opportunities to prevent the shooting. in a letter, that superintendent saying, quote, i've asked for a third party investigation to be conducted so we leave no stone unturned, including any and all interaction the student had with staff and students. >>> and new overnight, more tribute

. >> the governor delivered, lindsey, with great calm, but that number is gargantuan. it's not only roughly half the width of the state, which is about 400 miles, but 200 miles on the ground. one tornado, of course, i'll have to verify this. they'll have to do this when the sun rises. they'll get the data from the national weather service. the average of a typical tornado, if you can say there is one, according to the national weather service, lindsey, is about one or two miles on the ground. so this thing, if it is actually as long as they estimate it to be as you saw in that one full screen, the one slide that the governor was showing, is 100 to 200 times greater than average, and we don't even know the width. but we heard from emergency management officials out of kentucky during that same very briefing, 25 minutes long as we were watching it overnight is that he was comparing it to what we call the great 1925 tornadoes. that's march 18th, 1925. in that particular incident on that day, they did see one tornado that was up to a mile wide. now, they didn't indicate ho
