how can we keep linkedin as an independent company?ars later, revenue has nearly tripled since that acquisition. we are sick celebrating -- are accelerating off a larger base now. for me, it is such a pleasure and honor to be part of that leadership team and watch the best in the business, to learn from, and move linkedin forward. emily: you had some layoffs next year. people were not hiring. are those structural changes behind linkedin? what does the growth story for the company look like? ryan: linkedin is an 18-year-old company. we made those changes. when you see this great reshuffle happening, when you see every ceo and employee trying to navigate the future of what work looks like for them, they are turning to linkedin to figure that out. that is a valuable place to be in terms of the skills, the roles, the opportunities they need to navigate this. across our business lines, this engagement is only lifting all boats across the company. emily: you are historically a product guy. i know you have been at the company for 12 years. li

manus: your boss is all over linkedin and the front of his linkedin, it was quite well read, u.s. inflation is no barrier to further equity gains. thank, mark. where do i deploy it? larry fink says we are at the foothills of an epic change. he is giving 8% pay rises. larry fink is giving his staff 8% pay rises. for me, it is quite staggering. this is where we begin to need to understand, how do i deploy capital in a quasi-inflation area environment? kiran: we have been focusing a lot on the reflation plays which over the past month have not done well because we have seen that decline in bond yields. is the fed going to be forced into hiking rates prematurely, cut off the recovery and cause reflation -- because deflation at a later rate? a lot of people have been worrying about the delta variant. in our view, we think a lot of technical factors have been pushing down the 10 year bond yield. limited supply from the treasury. increased by from the fed as they manage their accounts. if those factors wear off, we think yields start to rise again. that should be supportive for those ref

looking at linkedin data, you can see a pattern of them losing people to these companies. it is not just space companies. amazon is a big drop. they do have that seattle connection. you can understand the appeal. it has not been fun to be a boeing engineer in recent years. a lot of the company problems have been engineering-related. the company has had to cut thousands of employees to try to keep the ship afloat during the pandemic. they are not really looking to do very many innovative engineering challenges going forward. there has been a lot of talk about whether they might come out with a new jetline but they have to be conscious of cost controls. you can understand how they want to work for other companies that are putting innovation at more of the forefront. emily: there been 110,000 job cuts across the aerospace industry through the pandemic. why exactly is that happening especially if it seems like from the outside, the aerospace industry is accelerating? brooke: they had to. during the pandemic, some of these companies were losing money, others were barely getting
