meteorologist lisa argen has a preview of the accuweather forecast. hi, lisa. >> hey, chris. we have elevated fire danger in spots, and we are looking at upper elevation drying out the atmosphere but the fog is still with us, so that's a good thing. in fact, along the san mateo coast, the marin county coast, but the national weather service has a red flag warning in effect for counties and lake county, solano county, vacaville and middletown where the winds have been gusting to over 40 miles per hour on top of mount diablo right now. 37 miles per hour winds, not even in the fire weather watch, but always be advised this time of year when we have the offshore winds that you need to be vigilant. with winds up to 20 miles per hour, mount tam, it will be a warmer day. here is the view from the city where it is 54 degrees. temperatures at right around 60 in san jose. 64, mount view. look at all of the fog. the golden gate bridge. numbers in the mid 60s already in concord. it has been sunny all morning long and on the peninsula mid 80s will be common. we are warming up today. it fe

let's get the weather from lisa argen. >> good morning to you. a ridge of high pressure dominates the weather and as it sits on top of us, it is compressing the marine layer to about 1,000 feet. interesting pictures and the fog down to the central coast. moving in locally over the bay but we still are looking klei clearer skies inland. numbers are cool in the low 50s san francisco, 50s morgan bay and visibility down to nothing at the coast. you can see the bridge 700 feet just reaching out over the compressed marine layer. 60s in concord, 61 in livermore. another hot day inland. just a few degrees warmer than yesterday as high pressure that is strong, strong ridge of high pressure is still in control. begins to shift to the east. as that does, we're going to see an actual area of low pressure drop down from the gulf of alaska bringing good cooling for the week ahead. walnut creek, lots of sunshine. sunny and hot and comfy at the coast. cooling begins tomorrow. o will take us tou much o you saw clouds and fog earlier there and as it pulls back fro

here's meteorologist lisa argen. she has more on this weekend's weather and where there is a red flag warning. >> hi. we'll have gusty wind, low relative humidity and no fog this morning. you'll notice we are clear. our red flag warning goes into effect until 5:00 p.m. and we're looking at above a thousand feet northeasterly winds 15 to 25 miles an hour at times, especially tonight gusting to 60 miles an hour, relative humidity anywhere from 12 to 22%. if any fires are ignited they could spread rapidly. around the delta we are looking at also the red flag warning and mount tam. also heat concerns as sunday heat illnesses are possible, temperatures from 95 to 105. san francisco can reach into the 90s so they are near record temperatures. we are looking at 58 in san francisco and 61 in novato and 64 in napa, 48, though, on the coast ask right now looking at that 24-hour temperature change, 16 to 21 degrees warmer already seeing effects of those offshore winds gusting to near 30 miles an hour on the north bay mountains
