here is meteorologist lisa argen. >> lisa: just cloudy everywhere in morning. here is san jose, 57 degrees and you will look for a high in the low 80 95.. we will be looking at the clouds and low fog. partly cloudy in livermore. clear skies in concord. look what happens by about 10:00. we're sunny everywhere for san mateo coast and in and around marin county but we'll warm it up. nice temperature spread, 60s and 70s around the bay with some 80s as you head to our east bay valleys. today will be pretty warm in our inland valleys. changes coming up in the second half of the weekend new this morning, one of the largest volunteer efforts in the world takes place today. here in the bay area, those of volunteers are expected to hit beaches, shorelines for the state's coastal cleanup day. they will be picking up debris and other discarded junk. more than a hundred countries are taking part in an international day. 9 million pounds of garbage picked up last year. coastal commission says 1.3 million pounds of trash was picked up here in california alone. volunteers star

let us make a maxxinista out of you. >> lisa argen joins us now.t's inspiring to see that beauty out there. >> yeah, it is nice out there. clear skies for the friends in the east bay, and danville, you are clear with temperatures in the upper 50s." but look at all the fog from below. when you get closer to the bay, you will notice that the low clouds and fog are hard to discern here. the little hole in the overcast above keeping us clear in san francisco. but the marine layer is about 1200 feet deep. so as we pan around looking like a fine morning out there, you can see a little bit in the way of the cloudiness there. so temperatures today will be affected by the low clouds, the fog, and as a result we will look for temperatures right around normal today. so pretty nice afternoon. if you are looking for it a little warmer, the warmer day comes today. tomorrow we cool off a little bit as our marine layer increases and the onshore flow also allows for the cooler air to head across the bay. so live doppler 7hd right now showing that the fog is into th

here's meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning. just over two hours left of summer and then we usher in fall. plenty of clear skies as our northern gradient is keeping the fog at bay. it will start off sunny with temperatures dropping into the 40s in the north bay, 50s elsewhere, and by noontime we are about 60 coastside, mid-70s in the inland valleys. look how warm, to the upper 80s, near 90 around the tri-valley. some fog is going to come back along the shoreline for the later afternoon hours. in fact, the sea breeze is going to kick up after about 1:00 to 25 miles an hour and changes are in store for the first full day of fall tomorrow. we will talk about those coming up. terry. >> lisa, thanks very much. >> this morning several businesses are cleaning up after a second straight night of protests after a shooting that occurred thursday night. at least 40 demonstrators returned last night and threw things at police. one officer was injured. they damaged several mission district businesses, including a paintball attack that broke

i can tell you right now from a very good authority, lisa argen, 53 degrees and the wind is blowing. you see the flags blowing a bit. winds out of the south, it looks like. much more from her on how long this overcast is going to be lasting and a beautiful warming trend, i believe. we will hear from her shortly. new this morning, on tuesday control officials plan to spray parts of mountain view where mosquitoes tested positive for west nile virus. it will take several hours for it to complete. some of the adult mosquitoes collected thursday in the 94040 zip code tested positive. information packets about the fogging will be distributed to residents in the treatment area today and tomorrow. again, that fogging is scheduled to again late tuesday night. >>> also new this morning, a u.s. coast guard cutter deployed from it's home port since march will return home in a couple hours. it is scheduled to be back in port at 7:45 this morning. the cutter's return follows a 161-day, 38,000 nautical mile deployment in the western pacific and southeast asia where it conducted operation was the u.
