here is lisa argen. >> good morning.e yellows indicate the moderate rain in the north bay, but you can see it offshore and some showers are in place to move into san francisco. we have had some light to moderate rain off the coast. our beaches are pretty soggy and this will swing on through. we had some mist and drizzle all nightlong. the temperatures have been pretty mild. but you will notice the flow with more of this projected to move across the bay area in the next couple hours. your first half of the day will be on the damp side. we are looking at 60s right now with fog as well in the north bay. this afternoon the slight possibility of a thunderstorm. the high temperatures are held down with the cloud cover. midand upper 60s around the bay. the coast should see low to mid60s. inland you have also seen shower activity by the afternoon with some sunshine. we will be back into the 70s. katie? >> thank you. it will be interesting to see how that affects the america's cup. more coverage on that coming up. this morning pr

let's start with a quick first look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning to you. we are looking at some pretty dense fog along the shoreline this morning. despite yesterday he is 100-degree heat in livermore and gilroy, a mile and a half visibility for half moon bay, a quarter mile in santa rosa and three quarter mile in novato. the marine layer is about a thousand feet deep. it will burn back and bring another sunny and warm afternoon. not as warm at the coast. still pleasant. we will still see the clearing but cooler there. around the bay low to mid-80s. but inland upper 90s to over 100 degrees today. another day of triple digit heat. we will spell it out for you with the 7 day accuweather forecast in a few minutes. carolyn. >> knew this morning police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman in south san jose. police were called off of capital express way just before 11:00 last night where a woman died at the scene. investigators don't know why she was stabbed, but apparently she knew her attacker. so far they have not named any suspects or made

francis dinglasan is here for lisa argen. what about the winds for today's race?> they will be similar to yesterday's conditions. so we are forecasting winds to be around 15 to 25 knots once again this afternoon. from the west this time as opposed to the northwest yesterday but similar speeds. it's already pretty breezy this morning. in fact at sfo they are reporting gusts of up to 22 miles an hour right now and winds from the west, steady rinds around 15 miles an hour. live doppler 7hd, sweeping around the bay area, you see some of the breaks already in the low clouds. a little bit clear areas of blue. so that's something i think we will notice today. a little bit more sunshine. a live shot from emeryville shows you some more of those breaks in the clouds. we saw much thicker coverage of clouds yesterday morning. current temperatures, fairly mild in some locations. it's currently 57 in san francisco. 60 in oakland. 59 redwood city and san jose. but i also want to show you the shot of the golden gate bridge. lacking fairly clear here. although in santa rosa, where
