lisa: understanding homelessness in our own cities. happening today, groups in northern kentucky will conduct a count today of the men and women living on the streets. mark: wlwt news 5' setters is live in covington this morning to tell us why this is such an important event. andrew: the homeless count gives groups who are trying to help a snapshot of just how big the they' ll be out on the streets looking for people who are homeless. the homeless count helps to establish the level of federal and state funding that flows to programs to help the homeless. hamilton county conducted their count last night and into early this morning. now northern kentucky agencies are beginning their tally. they' ll count up people who are staying in shelters, along with those they are able to track down and encounter on the streets. they' ll cover boone, kenton, and campbell counties. during last year' s count they found 327 people. we' ll be tagging along as they conduct their count and try to get a better idea of the work they do. live in covington, an
