katherine scott is live in bristol with the latest on the bridge's reopening. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam and matt, the bridge opened ahead of schedule. this was a huge relief for commuters they can ditch their detours and get back to their regular routes. january 20th, the bridge abruptly closed after painting crews found a crack on the westbound side in bristol township. 42,000 vehicles use the bridge everyday which connects the new jersey, pennsylvania turnpike. earlier this week crews ran a series of load tests, 8 dump trucks with 40 tons were driven across the bridge and sensors detected the reaction and the bridge showed it can support the weight of live traffic and late last night, the bridge open back up. >> it's good, less traffic it will be more convenient to get around. >> the fix we were hoping for was the fix that worked. if we would have had to go to a plan b or plan c, we could have been looking at 9 to 12 months. >> they have temporary sensors they will remain in place, over the next few months they will install somet
