this is south of livermore. people in the area saw measurable snow covering san antonio valley road. making driving conditions there treacherous. this is at an elevation of about 3,000 feet. on the peninsula abc 7 found people preparing for possible flooding. plenty of sandbags were there for residents to load up, with previous storms making a mess of things, this man he was not about to take any chances. >> trying to get ahead of the game. it started raining hefl this -- heavily this morning. i am getting some bags in there just in case for later. julian: a tree did come down as well in san bruno blocking crystal springs road. crews quickly were able to chop that one up and get it out of there. also on the peninsula flooding on millbrae street has caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to people's homes and put a dark cloud over their christmas weekend. it happened a few days ago on landing lane near s.f.o. between highway 101 and el camino real. tim john spoke to some neighbors who worry that the upcoming

a little over a quarter of an inch of rain in livermore 3 quarters of an inch. so here's a look at futurecast is just before midnight. you could see some showers popping up here and there. but here's where we see the moderate to even heavy rain start to move in the north bay. this is around 3 in the morning when most of you will be sleeping. i want i wouldn't be surprised if you do hear thunder storms from this system. even out in the east bay could see some thunderstorm overnight and then here by about 9 o'clock in the morning that system you see it shifts to the east there and to the south, the roads could still be wet out in the south bay and some parts of the east bay. but we are going to see another break tomorrow around lunchtime in the early afternoon. so we might actually see a little bit of sunshine coming out with this break before another round of showers will hit us on christmas morning. as you can see here, moderate rain throughout the bay area here, a band of showers. 08:00am christmas day. so hopefully have your umbrellas in hand in your rain coat
