the other top story we're following tonight is your dramatic rescue in livermore. >> we had a car upsiden in the water with a female sitting on top. >> yeah, you can see it here. crews hoisting that woman to safety after she spent 13 hours stranded on the top of her flooded truck. >> it happened here at lake del valle in livermore. and as abc seven news reporter ryan curry explains, the woman spent the night there and wasn't found until this morning. reporter >> airlifted to safety after being stranded all night, the woman that was involved had been there since 7:00 the previous evening, so she'd been there 13 hours. alameda county fire got a call around 10 a.m. tuesday morning about a woman stranded on top of her car at del valle regional park. they say she tried to drive over this bridge that is submerged in water. the water moving so fast, it took her car off the bridge, flipping it over into the creek nearby. she was stranded with no cell phone to contact anyone. a camper found her and called for help. >> she was attempting to cross a cement bridge that had been topped by the heavy r

fremont livermore, dublin in concord, all down in the 30's. santa rosa petaluma as well as fillet. also in the 30's this morning. and we are definitely going to see some even colder temperatures as we work our way through the next couple hours. calistoga. look at that. up to 29 degrees right now. now, of course, we're talking all about yesterday's weather too. we dried out since then. the sierra got a heavy dose of snow, which is also moved out. all that energy is now shifted out towards nevada and arizona. we're we're actually seeing some really heavy snow on those island arranges out there. temperatures will be in the 50's for your daytime highs today. a nice afternoon ahead of us with plenty of sunshine. staying dry through the day. i'll get to more on your forecast as we go. as for your road. we've got right now is a pretty easy commute. we don't have any rain. so don't worry about too many slick spots out there. it is nice and smooth. 12 minutes across the san mateo bridge. the richmond center fell as well as the golden gate 2. and it's about as good as you can get rate. >> sh

this is some heavy rain showers and it is now finally moving into the livermore area. and i say finally, because i've been getting messages from folks saying it ain't raining out here over by the livermore lab, you will soon see some rain showers. los altos hills. that's a pretty powerful salad. that's working its way off the santa cruz mountains and scotts valley. a heavy downpour, and we're seeing the rain showers in earnest around the peninsula a little voided. the activity right now is just daly city and san francisco, where you have seen plenty of rain showers. this evening as well. and you will see more. again, this is the frontal boundary. it continues to move into the east bay. we will see 2.5in of rain easily and the coastal mountains of the north bay up to two inches. and the santa cruz mountains. and this system has so much power and energy that it is providing a punch out over the open waters. yet another high surf advisory in effect beginning tomorrow morning at 4 a.m, nine foot waves stay away from the water. know your limits. all right. currently, temper

right now we're in the upper 40s and lower 50s anywhere from livermore down into san jose off to nice cool start just like yesterday but yesterday was more promising with the spring and summer-like weather that we had. heading into the forecast today, more clouds start rolling in. and then into the overnight hours tonight, we're actually having some rain starting to trickle in up in the north bay. it gets heavier and then game on heading into the afternoon. so today is our last mild day in the forecast for us. a major area of low pressure will bring in a surge of moisture building in if the south, this is an atmospheric river event. and that will continue to bring in heavy rain for us widespread throughout the bay area calling for a flood watch already by the national weather service. i was actually shocked yesterday when i caught anolytefication t weather service getting prepared and issuing this early and it's for all the bay area highlighted zones and counties on this map. now we can see anywhere up to around 3.5-inches of rain u in the north bay but this is only wednesday's day al

we want to head over to some video out of livermore. this is something that happened, a woman who attempted to drive across a rushing creek. after the waterway swept over a road. her truck flipped over, she had no way out, no one heard her yelling for help through the night. she was able to get on top of the bottom of her truck and remain there until a camper found her. now, thanks to that camper, emergency responders were alerted, alameda county fire and other neighboring agencies came, as well as the chp rescue helicopter, who lowered a rescue technician to the woman and helped her get on a harness. >> i don't know how she did it in the dark and the cold, the wet, but she was able to do that. she was very excited to see our san ramon valley fire rescue technician. >> reporter: as you can imagine, such a sigh of relief for that woman to see rescue teams, as she is being treated for hypothermia. she is expected to make a full recovery. her story, that video there serving as a reminder not to test the waters as we continue to kind of get

we're at 66 in san francisco in livermore. we're going above average yet again. wind is nice and calm right now with the exception of point raises a little breezy which it usually is. but we're going to see that really changes. we get into our wednesday. but today and tomorrow, not bad. keep that sunshine today. just a few high clouds are going to roll. and now tomorrow things will we'll start to see some of these clouds move in because low pressure system is right there and it is going to track across and bring us some rain wednesday into thursday. the first of a couple of systems are becoming our way. by the time we get into thursday after that rain has been falling, we are going to be looking at for a slight flood risk the north bay and down the peninsula and parts of the east bay. and you can see marginal in parts of the south bay, but that is to say that we've had rain falling, right? so we've got saturated ground. we've got creeks and streams that are a little bit higher than so we just want to keep an eye on those. but it's not till overnight tuesday into
