well, i'm in the shade of our tallest building here in livermore. a two story building here at north and first street. staying in the shade. it's 91 degrees already. here we are at 11 a.m, and this is our famous temperature tree sweater, where somebody's been keeping track of the daily temps here in livermore since september of last year. each row represents a temperature. today, they're going to need some white yarn to add to the top, because that's going to represent a temperature of 105 degrees. and more. and if you look up, there isn't that much white up there. so this is even for livermore, which is typically hot. this is even unusual. so it's going to be a run on white yarn if you live out here in in livermore, as they add to this tree, i want you to take a look over here downtown. not very busy because most people are doing what i'm not doing and staying inside. you can see the city has their fountains running, which is normal for this time of the year, but we have not seen parents out here bringing their kids to splash around. it's probably

we got up to one of the hottest in santa rosa, 109 gilroy, 107, livermore 108. walnut creek 105. stanford 104. san jose 104. san francisco. down a little bit from yesterday at 91. when you compare it to the records, we again got into those records for concord livermore also in santa rosa, with that 109 beating the old of 102 set back in 2012, san jose, that 104 really smashes the old record of 96 set way back in 1980. and for a lot of these cities, 1980 really was the last time it was this hot, this time of the year. so tomorrow we keep this hot area of high pressure with us. overall numbers are going to stay pretty hot here throughout the bay area, even though i see them going down a couple of degrees. so we still have these heat warnings in effect throughout the bay area. wind variable 10 to 15. so we're not expecting any extreme wind. although as i've been telling you, this will continue to keep our fire danger elevated. so for tomorrow morning inland valleys, we're in the 70s, 4 to 6 a.m, and then we'll get up to 89 by 11 a.m. so it's a little bit better tomorrow. i think ove

i've got as fairfield at 97 degrees followed by livermore. 96. obviously that's very well above average in nevada just popped up to 95. but what we're not seeing as triple digit heat and hopefully will stay out of it today. just 70 degrees in san francisco. big difference around the bay itself. 76 in oakland still hanging on to a little more fair in san carlos and cupertino. san jose there about 87 degrees. but again, a step in the right direction. what we're looking out for here is that westerly flow to bring that marine layer. and you can see that we are getting a bit of a breeze going here in san francisco about 23 miles per hour sfo. and right now still kind of northwesterly. we should start to see this turn as we get later into the afternoon and evening. and so what that will do is help to usher in even cooler air and a little bit of marine layer so that tomorrow morning when we wake up, we see something. we haven't seen it all, which would be just a little bit of fog on the back a little bit. we'll talk about the rest of our 7 day forecast.

word is 97 or say livermore words. 99, fairfield, 97, you get the idea. but around the bay today, definitely some relief you see. it's 71 there in berkeley, not bad and up in the north bay. we've got some low 90's out there in nevada in sonoma. but hey, petaluma santa rosa, 86 87 degrees. that's welcome. that is a welcome cool down there. we've also got some interesting weather happening in the sense that we've had a little bit of tropical moisture rolling up now you look at this in a way, is that some rain coming our way? unfortunately, not really because it's not making it to the ground because we've got dry air out there exceptionally dry air out there. but you see a little bit trying trying sending a few clouds across, not see any lightning. that's a good thing but not seeing any rain from that either. this is why, because it hits this dry air on the way down. and you can see some of these numbers in the 20's for humidity, 8%. and that's gonna be the case as we go across the next 12 to 24 hours. these low relative humidities add to the danger of fire.
