i want to bring in charles schwab company chief investment strategist liz ann sonders. love the report you put out last week, piece of work dissecting the labor market trends. for me though i would widen it out and say a piece of work dissecting all the economy. who can figure it out? how can you decide what is going on in the economy? >> this is the most you fleak economic cycle in history maybe only some comparisons to the post-world war ii period of time and i think the best way to think about the cycle to differentiate between the good side of the economy and services side of the economy. if we go back to the stimulus era of the pandemic, that launched the economy out of what was a very short-lived recession but it was heavily concentrated on the good side because we had no access to services. that was where the inflation problem first started to brew. but then we subsequently went into actual recessions in many of those areas, manufacturing, housing, housing-related. and into disinflation and some cases deflation in those areas. but we had later offsetting strength
