we have retired air force, tom mcinerney and a fox newt contributor, liz cheney. i know you know this region very, very well. i know the argument was there were more moderate people in the military, but they've been replaced by supporters of mohammed morsi, so, i know -- what is the reason, tell me the motivation here knowing that this is going to put israel at risk. >> you know, i can't, i can't imagine what the motivation is, sean, you have a situation where the gift of these f-16's was approved back in 2010, when you had a very different set of circumstances. the egyptian military underhosni mubarak had in fact been an important ally of the united states. i think that the egyptian military still has the potential to be somewhat of a balancing factor against the muslim brotherhood. however, it is the case that the president morsi has replaced the head of the military, and put in his own person. certainly, at this point given the resurgence of al-qaeda across north after characters given the ties that the egyptian government to terrorist organizations like hamas.

anyway, here with reaction, liz cheney.you. >> sean: let me get your reaction to that. your narrative and that's why the benghazi situation was ignored the way it was by the white house leading in the election. >> and i think we've seen clearly not only is al-qaeda a large resurgence, but in particular al-qaeda and the al-qaeda in north africa, the same group we know is behind the attack on the consulate in benghazi and now appear to have been behind this hodge taking in algeria, so, you know, it's the opposite of being on a path to defeat. we've got al-qaeda in fact resurgent and there were no consequences whatsoever. think about that now, the attack was september 11th last year and there has yet to be a single consequence, a single repercussion, a single person brought to justice, nothing has been done. so, the message has been sent pretty clearly that you can kill an american ambassador, kill our diplomates attack our facilities with impunity and we see the result of that kind of a message now with the hostage taking. >>
